Which one to choose: Mannol LC2 (8029) or EP2 MoS2 (8028) grease?

LC2 (8029) is a high-temperature grease on a complex-lithium base, working from −30 to +170 °C — made for bearings and units running hot. EP2 MoS2 (8028) is a universal grease with molybdenum disulphide and graphite, −30 to +140 °C, for heavy shock loads. Both come in 100 g and 400 g tubes.

In what temperatures do Mannol greases work?

The high-temperature LC2 (8029) keeps its properties from −30 to +170 °C (DIN 51502 KP2P-30, NLGI 2, MB 265.1, MAN TL 284); the universal EP2 MoS2 (8028) — from −30 to +140 °C. Both have a 5-year shelf life from the production date.

A 100 g or a 400 g tube of Mannol grease?

The 100 g tube suits servicing one or two units (for example, a single bearing replacement); the 400 g tube — several units or repeated jobs. The contents are the same grease; only the volume differs.

Classic (7501) is semi-synthetic, 10W-40, API SN/CH-4, ACEA A3/B4, with VW 50x 00 and MB 229.1/229.3 approvals. Energy (7511) is fully synthetic, 5W-30, API SN/CH-4, ACEA A3/B4 — including VW 503 01, MB 229.3/229.5 and BMW LL-98. Both come in 1, 4 and 5 litre packs.

What are Chempioil gear oils for?

Hypoid GLS 80W-90 is for hypoid final drives (API GL-4/GL-5, MIL-L-2105, MAN 341/342, ZF TE-ML, Scania STO 1:0); Syncro GLV 75W-90 — for synchronized gearboxes and differentials (API GL-4/GL-5 LS, Mack GO-J, MAN 342 M1-M3); ATF D-II/D-III — for automatic transmissions (Dexron IID/III, MB 236.x, ZF TE-ML, Voith).

Which viscosities of Homo oils does the shop stock?

Homo is the budget line with the widest spread of grades: 5W-30 and 5W-40 (1 L at 2,000 AMD), 10W-40, 15W-40 and 20W-50 (1 L at 1,550, 4 L at 5,700, 5 L at 7,000 AMD), with the 10W-40 also in a 20 L barrel for fleet servicing. There is also an 80W-90 gear oil (1,700 AMD), Dexron III ATF in red and yellow (1,800 AMD), and the 2T Super motorcycle oil (1,600 AMD).

Why does Homo Dexron III come in red and yellow versions?

Both versions are Dexron III-level fluid in 1 litre packs at 1,800 AMD, and the difference is the colour: factory fill in automatic gearboxes comes in different tints, and on a change most people pick the colour already in the box. If the manual names an exact tint, follow it — both versions are in stock in Yerevan.

Who benefits from the 20 litre barrel of Homo 10W-40?

Fleets, service shops and anyone maintaining several cars: the 20 L barrel is 28,000 AMD, which works out at 1,400 AMD per litre instead of the 1 L pack's 1,550. The contents are the same Homo 10W-40 also sold in 1 and 4 litre packs.
