Description
Mannol 8028 (Universal Multi-MoS2 Grease EP2 Ester) is a universal multipurpose anti-seizure grease based on highly refined mineral base oil with a lithium soap thickener, the addition of synthetic esters, anti-wear and anti-seizure EP additives, molybdenum disulphide and lubricating graphite. It stands out for its high-temperature resistance and sealing ability and provides excellent anti-friction and anti-seizure protection.
Properties and advantages
- Keeps its performance properties from −30 °C to +140 °C
- Excellent adhesion to metal surfaces; forms a solid lubricating film and provides effective boundary lubrication at high pressures and temperatures
- Withstands extreme and high-impact loads thanks to its EP additives; under accidental overheating the layered additives eliminate seizure and jamming
- Special anti-oxidation and anti-corrosion additives protect bearings even in a moist and soiled environment
- Good thermal and mechanical stability: the grease is not extruded from units and keeps its consistency, reducing loss and consumption
- Shelf life: 5 years from the date of production
Application
For the lubrication of transport, agricultural and off-road equipment operating under increased or impact loads, vibration, and in dusty, wet or dry environments: universal joints, fifth-wheel couplings, CV joints, slide and roller bearings, chassis and other heavily loaded friction units of machinery.
Frequently asked questions
Which one to choose: Mannol LC2 (8029) or EP2 MoS2 (8028) grease?
LC2 (8029) is a high-temperature grease on a complex-lithium base, working from −30 to +170 °C — made for bearings and units running hot. EP2 MoS2 (8028) is a universal grease with molybdenum disulphide and graphite, −30 to +140 °C, for heavy shock loads. Both come in 100 g and 400 g tubes.
In what temperatures do Mannol greases work?
The high-temperature LC2 (8029) keeps its properties from −30 to +170 °C (DIN 51502 KP2P-30, NLGI 2, MB 265.1, MAN TL 284); the universal EP2 MoS2 (8028) — from −30 to +140 °C. Both have a 5-year shelf life from the production date.
A 100 g or a 400 g tube of Mannol grease?
The 100 g tube suits servicing one or two units (for example, a single bearing replacement); the 400 g tube — several units or repeated jobs. The contents are the same grease; only the volume differs.
Which brands does the shop carry?
Unium with 115 products (filters carrying the equivalent MANN and Filtron numbers), Homo with 15, K1 Lube with 26, Mannol with 20 (oils, ATF, fluids and greases), Chempioil with 11 and Polaris with 6; the ELF brand page is being filled in.
